A well-established company in Southaven, MS is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Diesel Mechanic (Mobile Service Technician) to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, traveling to job sites, and providing hands-on repair and maintenance for diesel-powered equipment and trucks.

Pay: $25–$30/hour (DOE)
Position Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
What You’ll Do
• Travel to customer job sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel equipment and trucks
• Read and interpret work orders, service manuals, and technical diagrams
• Perform diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Inspect engines, transmissions, steering, braking systems, and hydraulics
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and components
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments, and fluid checks
• Use diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and adjust engine functions
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance
• Communicate with customers on-site to explain repairs and maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate service documentation and work orders
What We’re Looking For
• 3 years’ experience with diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagnostic reports
• Comfortable working independently in field environments and job sites
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly
• Valid driver’s license required
Work Environment & Schedule
• Field-based role using a mobile service truck, with occasional work in the shop
• Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• Occasional night, weekend, overtime, and on-call work as needed
