Job Summary

A growing manufacturing company in Chatsworth, CA is hiring multiple Line Mechanics to support high-speed production and packaging operations. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in food, beverage, alcohol, personal care, cosmetics, or similar consumer packaged goods manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, rebuilds, and mechanical repairs.
- Complete line setups, equipment changeovers, and adjustments for production runs.
- Support high-speed manufacturing operations while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Follow GMP, Lockout/Tagout, and workplace safety procedures.
- Partner with production teams to identify equipment issues and improve line performance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Troubleshoot and repair production and packaging equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, mechanical rebuilds, and scheduled repairs.
- Complete equipment changeovers, line setups, and production support.
- Maintain safe operations by following GMP and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

- 5+ years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in food, beverage, alcohol, personal care, cosmetics, or similar production environments.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, automation systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and line changeovers.
- Ability to work effectively with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, reliability, and equipment performance.
- Experience with liquid fillers, rotary fillers, inline fillers, cappers, crimpers, labeling machines, conveyors, pumps, inkjet coders, and related packaging equipment.
- Background supporting high-speed production or packaging lines in consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
- Ability to identify recurring equipment issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
