Job Title: Medical Records Agent
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Records Agent to support their healthcare operations team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring diagnostic reports are received, reviewed, and distributed accurately and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating with medical providers while maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Contact medical facilities to follow up on the status of diagnostic reports after patients have been seen
Track, monitor, and document report requests to ensure timely receipt
Review incoming diagnostic reports for accuracy, completeness, and proper study completion
Verify patient information including name, date of birth, and study type
Confirm that the correct diagnostic study was performed
Electronically distribute finalized reports to adjusters, referring physicians, and other authorized parties
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Provide professional and responsive customer service when communicating with medical providers and internal teams
Qualifications:
Prior experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable making outbound follow-up calls to medical facilities
Proficient with electronic records systems and data entry
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
