Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and dependable Medical Receptionist for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This role is ideal for an experienced medical front desk professional who enjoys helping patients, supporting clinical teams, and keeping daily office operations organized in a busy healthcare setting.
The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while assisting with scheduling, phone coverage, patient documentation, and general administrative support. This opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends, competitive hourly pay, and the potential to transition into a long-term position.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Greet patients and visitors, verify information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule patient appointments and staff meetings while maintaining accurate calendars.
- Create, update, and maintain patient records, documentation, and office information.
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and office staff in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Provide general administrative support to help ensure smooth daily office operations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage front desk reception duties in a medical office environment.
- Support patient scheduling, check-in, check-out, and record updates.
- Handle incoming phone calls and route messages accurately.
- Provide administrative support to patients, providers, and office staff.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a medical receptionist, medical front desk, or healthcare administrative support role.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and patient-focused communication style.
- Ability to maintain accurate patient information, records, schedules, and office documentation.
- Comfortable answering multi-line phones and managing multiple priorities in a busy office setting.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, providers, and internal team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a clinic, physician office, hospital department, or healthcare services environment.
- Familiarity with appointment scheduling systems, electronic medical records, or patient management software.
- Interest in long-term growth within a healthcare office or medical administrative career path.
