We are seeking a professional and dependable Medical Receptionist for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This role is a great fit for an experienced medical front desk professional who enjoys helping patients, supporting clinical teams, and keeping daily office operations organized in a busy healthcare environment.
The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while supporting appointment scheduling, phone coverage, patient documentation, and general administrative needs. This opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends, competitive hourly pay, and the potential to transition into a long-term role.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Greet patients and visitors, verify information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule patient appointments and staff meetings while maintaining accurate calendars.
- Create, update, and maintain patient records, documentation, and office information.
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and office staff in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Provide general administrative support to help ensure smooth daily office operations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, and front desk coordination.
- Manage incoming calls, patient communication, and appointment calendars.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and administrative files.
- Assist with daily office operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant medical front desk, medical receptionist, or healthcare office experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and welcoming communication style.
- Ability to answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage multiple priorities accurately.
- Comfortable working with patient information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with patients, providers, and office staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using electronic medical records or medical office software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and general healthcare office procedures.
- Previous experience with insurance verification, patient registration, or appointment coordination.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and organized in a busy patient-facing environment.
