Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and dependable Medical Receptionist for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This role is ideal for a candidate with medical front desk experience who enjoys helping patients, keeping office operations organized, and serving as the first point of contact in a busy healthcare environment.
The Medical Receptionist will support daily patient flow, appointment scheduling, phone coverage, documentation, and general administrative needs. Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet patients and visitors, verify information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for patients and staff while maintaining accurate calendars.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information.
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and office staff in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Provide general administrative support to help ensure smooth daily office operations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage front desk reception duties in a healthcare office setting.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, check-in, check-out, and documentation.
- Handle incoming calls and provide accurate information to patients and staff.
- Support office staff with administrative tasks and daily workflow needs.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred for this role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain professional in a busy office environment.
- Friendly, dependable, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous medical office, healthcare reception, or front desk experience.
- Experience working with patient records, appointment scheduling, or medical office workflows.
- Strong customer service background in a professional office or healthcare environment.
