We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while efficiently managing front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
Answer phones, schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle inquiries
Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments as needed
Prepare and manage patient charts and maintain confidentiality of all patient records
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely service
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails
Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in medical office administration is a plus
1+ year of experience in a medical office or customer-facing role preferred
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and insurance verification
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Professional, reliable, and compassionate demeanor
