Medical Dispatcher – Patient Transport & Insurance Coordination

Training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Approx. 2 months)
Post-Training: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3 days on / 2 days off (includes nights, weekends, and holidays)

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Dispatcher to coordinate patient transport services to nursing homes, hospitals, and assisted living facilities throughout the Shreveport–Bossier area. This role also includes verifying insurance coverage and maintaining clear communication with both patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch medical transport services efficiently and accurately
Communicate with nursing homes, hospitals, and assisted living facilities to coordinate patient pickups and drop-offs
Verify insurance coverage and document patient information
Maintain detailed records of transport schedules and patient interactions
Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and medical staff
Navigate the Shreveport–Bossier area confidently and efficiently
Work collaboratively with drivers, healthcare providers, and administrative staff
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in medical dispatch, patient coordination, or healthcare administration preferred
Familiarity with the Shreveport–Bossier area is essential
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
Comfortable working overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
