Job Summary
A well-established private medical practice in East Memphis is seeking a Bilingual Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join its patient-focused team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a dependable, professional, and outgoing front office healthcare professional who is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys supporting patients in a busy medical office setting.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a stable, single-physician practice with a collaborative front desk team, consistent full-time hours, and a supportive environment where strong communication, organization, and patient service are valued. The right candidate will play an important role in creating a positive first impression for patients while helping the office run smoothly each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients, manage check-in and check-out, and provide professional front desk support.
- Answer phones, assist patients, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits.
- Verify insurance coverage, update patient information, and work within Electronic Health Records systems.
- Receive and post patient payments, balance receipts, and complete end-of-day closeout processes.
- Manage incoming and outgoing referrals and provide additional administrative support as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $19 per hour.
- Annual salary range: $37,500 to $41,600 per year.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Hours are shared and overlapped with other receptionists, allowing some flexibility.
- Occasional half-day Saturday required approximately every other month, with scheduling flexibility among the reception team.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, and front desk communication.
- Verify insurance coverage and maintain accurate patient information in EHR systems.
- Handle patient payments, receipt balancing, and end-of-day closeout duties.
- Support referral coordination and general medical office administration.
- Previous medical front desk or medical receptionist experience is required.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Experience with insurance verification is required.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records systems is required.
- Strong multitasking, organization, and attention to detail are required.
- Friendly, professional communication skills and a patient-first approach are required.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant medical office experience is preferred based on role level.
