We are seeking experienced Medical Administrative Professionals to support a busy healthcare organization. This position plays a vital role in patient access, insurance verification, authorizations, medical billing, accounts receivable, collections, and revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate has a strong healthcare administration background and is comfortable working with electronic health record and practice management systems, including NextGen EHR/EPM.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
1–2+ years of experience in healthcare administration, patient access, medical billing, accounts receivable, collections, or revenue cycle operations
Knowledge of insurance eligibility verification, prior authorizations, claims processing, and patient account management
Experience in a physician practice, medical office, clinic, hospital, or community healthcare setting
Strong customer service and patient communication skills
Understanding of medical terminology and payer requirements
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Experience with NextGen EHR and Practice Management (EPM) systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with patient billing platforms and practice management software

Patient Access & Registration
Verify insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments
Obtain and track required authorizations
Resolve registration and eligibility issues
Assist patients with PCP assignment changes when necessary
Maintain accurate demographic and insurance information
Support patient check-in and check-out activities
Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle
Post charges and reconcile patient encounters
Review records for claim accuracy and timely submission
Investigate and correct billing, registration, and payment posting discrepancies
Ensure account documentation is complete and up to date
Accounts Receivable & Patient Collections
Collect co-pays, deposits, and outstanding balances
Research uninsured, underinsured, and sliding-fee accounts
Explain payment options and financial assistance programs to patients
Collaborate with billing teams to resolve denials and account issues
Document payment arrangements and collection activity
Prepare collection-related communications as needed
Compliance & Administrative Support
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Utilize EMR/EHR and practice management systems efficiently
Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy
Support organizational goals and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidates with experience in Patient Access, Insurance Verification, Authorizations, Medical Billing, Accounts Receivable, Healthcare Collections, Revenue Cycle Management, or Practice Operations are encouraged to apply.
