A leading medical device manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented, steady-handed Device Assembler to join their production team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, precision-based work, thrives in a clean-room environment, and is committed to producing high-quality products that support patient health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble medical devices across multiple product lines at or above standard production rates
Follow written procedures, drawings, and Quality System Policies with accuracy
Complete and maintain Device History Records, Data Sheets, and Lot Control documentation
Operate manufacturing and measurement equipment (microscopes, test equipment, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, calipers, pressure gauges, rulers, etc.) after training
Perform repetitive assembly tasks following established procedures, sequence, and pace
Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and team members
Adapt to changes in procedures and learn new processes as product lines evolve
Cross-train on additional product lines as needed
Assist senior assemblers or leads with training activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment following GMP, GDP, and Lean Manufacturing principles
Proactively report material shortages and workflow concerns
Meet attendance expectations and work overtime or varied shifts when required
Participate in shared leadership activities such as Kanban management, calibration, or metrics board maintenance
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Without a diploma: 2–3 years of medical device or ISO-certified assembly experience required
1–2 years of medical device assembly or ISO-certified assembly experience
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions
Strong communication skills (phone, email, in-person)
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to work in a clean-room environment and follow all related protocols
Fine motor skills, dexterity, and strong hand-eye coordination for small-part assembly
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and focus
Basic MS Windows skills; ability to learn site-specific software
Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and Lean Manufacturing preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality of documents and processes
