Seeking a skilled Medical Device Assembler with prior experience to join our meticulous team in Lawndale, CA. You will assemble intricate medical devices with precision, adhering to strict quality and safety standards in a cleanroom environment. Your focus and dexterity are crucial to producing life-improving products.
Responsibilities:
Assemble medical devices and sub-assemblies per instructions (work orders, blueprints, SOPs).
Precisely handle small components using tools, including microscopes.
Perform tasks such as component placement, soldering, bonding, wiring, and mechanical fastening.
Conduct in-process quality checks and report any issues.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Work within cleanroom protocols.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Collaborate with the team to meet production goals.
Participate in training and improvement initiatives.
Operate assembly equipment as needed.
Package and label finished devices as required.
Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in medical device assembly or a related manufacturing field.
Demonstrated manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to understand work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings (English).
Basic math skills (measurement, counting).
Ability to follow precise instructions.
Strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Good communication skills.
Willingness to follow strict cleanroom and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cleanroom experience.
Knowledge of GMP and ISO regulations for medical devices.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing.
Experience with specific assembly techniques (soldering, bonding, mechanical fastening).
Proficiency with measuring and inspection tools.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Experience with repetitive hand and finger movements.
