Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Administration professional for a Medical Bill Review Administrative Assistant opportunity in Grand Island, NY. This role supports a busy Bill Review Department by helping ensure accurate intake, review, tracking, and documentation of medical bills tied to claims processing.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Bill Review Department to support accurate and timely claims processing.
- Track, monitor, prioritize, and manage bill review inventory, referral assignments, and claim status.
- Review case and claim documentation to confirm supporting records align with billed medical services.
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, faxes, invoices, and claim-related documents.
- Communicate with adjusters, coders, providers, and internal teams to help resolve billing, documentation, and workflow issues.
- Maintain accurate records in internal systems while supporting compliance with New York State Workers' Compensation and No-Fault regulations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire, Direct Hire, or Temp-to-Perm after 720 hours.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Location: Grand Island, NY 14072.
- Workplace Type: Hybrid after training.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Initial training will be in-office five days per week for approximately 3 to 6 months.
- After successful training completion, employees transition to a hybrid schedule with an expectation of 1 to 2 days per week in the office.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support medical bill review operations through accurate intake, tracking, processing, and documentation.
- Review claim and case documentation to verify alignment with billed services.
- Coordinate correspondence and communication with adjusters, coders, providers, and internal departments.
- Help maintain workflow, inventory distribution, referral assignments, and compliance-focused claim processing.
- Minimum of 1 year of medical billing, medical bill review, or related healthcare administrative experience.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Professional, reliable, positive, and service-focused approach to daily work.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality with claim and medical billing information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with medical billing for Workers' Compensation Fee Schedule and No-Fault Insurance claims.
- Knowledge of New York State Workers' Compensation and No-Fault billing practices.
- Experience using bill review platforms such as Strataware or similar systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and HCPCS coding.
- Prior experience supporting bill review, claims administration, healthcare reimbursement, or insurance billing operations.
