We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller & Coder with strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, insurance verification, and claims management. In this role, you will ensure accurate claim submission, timely reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare billing regulations.

Responsibilities

· Assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services
· Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to commercial insurance carriers and government payers
· Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorizations
· Generate patient statements and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and claim rejections
· Post payments and reconcile accounts from insurers and patients
· Responding to patient billing inquiries in a professional and timely manner
· Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
· Prepare reports on claim status, aging accounts, and revenue activity
· Stay current on billing regulations, coding updates, and payer policies


Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Billing & Coding preferred
· Proven experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, or revenue cycle management
· Strong proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
· Experience with medical billing software and EHR systems
· Knowledge of insurance reimbursement processes and claims management
· Experience with Worker’s Compensation and No-Fault claims preferred
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
