Job Title: Medical Billing Coordinator – Healthcare Administration
Location: Bossier City, LA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: Competitive hourly or salaried pay, based on experience

About the Role:
A busy and reputable healthcare practice in Bossier City is seeking a Medical Billing Coordinator to manage day-to-day billing operations. This role is essential to ensuring accurate claim submissions, timely reimbursements, and smooth revenue cycle management. If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in healthcare billing, this is a great opportunity to grow in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit insurance claims to private payers and government programs
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
Resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
Post payments, adjustments, and maintain accurate patient account records
Generate patient statements and respond to billing inquiries
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation
Stay current with insurance guidelines, coding updates, and compliance regulations

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred)
2+ years of experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management
Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems
Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities

Preferred Certifications:

Certified Professional Biller (CPB) – AAPC
Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) – AMBA
Certified Coding Associate (CCA) – AHIMA (if coding is part of the role)
