As a Medical Device Assembler, you will play a vital role in the production of high-quality medical devices that improve and save lives. You will be responsible for assembling intricate components according to precise specifications, adhering to strict quality standards and safety regulations within a cleanroom environment. Your dexterity, focus, and commitment to excellence will directly contribute to the functionality and reliability of our life-enhancing products.
Responsibilities:
Assemble medical devices and sub-assemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Handle small and delicate components with precision and care, often utilizing microscopes and specialized tools.
Perform tasks such as component placement, soldering, bonding, wiring, and mechanical fastening.
Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specified requirements and quality standards.
Identify and report any defects, deviations, or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including batch numbers, component traceability, and quality control data.
Work in a cleanroom environment, adhering to strict gowning procedures and contamination control protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and prevent contamination.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals.
Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
May operate various assembly equipment and machinery as required.
May package and label finished medical devices according to specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ of experience in medical device assembly or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.
Proven manual dexterity and fine motor skills, with the ability to work with small components.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings in English.
Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately measure and count.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
Commitment to quality and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to adhere to strict cleanroom and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment.
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO regulations related to medical device manufacturing.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with specific assembly techniques such as soldering, bonding, or mechanical fastening.
Ability to use various measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
