About the Role
An established defense litigation firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal or Nurse Paralegal with solid defense experience. Medical malpractice experience is strongly preferred. This role supports one shareholder and one partner—both known for their professionalism and collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses
Review medical records and prepare detailed medical chronologies
Prepare subpoenas for non-party records in compliance with state and federal regulations
E-file in state and federal courts
Coordinate with clients and expert witnesses
Assist in preparing cases for depositions, mediations, witness interviews, and trial
Record and report billable time in line with client guidelines
Qualifications
3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in medical malpractice
Strong knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, including medical malpractice statutes and processes
Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced litigation team environment
Proficiency with MS Office, Word, Adobe Acrobat (or other PDF tools)
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

Salary: $74,000 – $79,000, commensurate with experience
