We are seeking an experienced Aftermarket Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow an established customer base while developing new business opportunities. Required Qualifications and Skills Preferred Qualifications
This is a field-based sales position focused on commercial building owners, facility managers, maintenance teams, property managers, and plumbing/mechanical contractors.
- Manage commercial service account growth through customer visits, prospecting, referrals, and relationship development.
- Sell preventative maintenance agreements, service contracts, repairs, replacements, upgrades, and retrofit solutions.
- Review preventative maintenance and inspection reports to uncover additional sales opportunities.
- Gather equipment, application, and site information to support accurate proposals.
- 5+ years of outside sales experience, or 3+ years of outside sales experience combined with hands-on mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or pump service experience.
- Knowledge of pumps, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, or commercial building operations.
- Ability to sell to commercial building owners, facility managers, maintenance teams, property managers, and contractors.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and follow-up skills.
- Self-directed, organized, persistent, and comfortable managing a sales territory independently.
- Comfortable working around commercial mechanical equipment and visiting mechanical rooms, basements, rooftops, pump rooms, and similar environments.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout New England.
- Experience selling service agreements, recurring-service solutions, aftermarket products, or commercial mechanical services.
- Experience with pumps, pumping systems, booster systems, fire pumps, ejector pumps, water heaters, PRV stations, VFDs, control panels, and energy-efficiency solutions.
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM to manage sales activity, forecasts, and customer communication.
- Existing relationships with facility managers, commercial property teams, mechanical contractors, or building owners in New England.
- Participation in trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, or factory visits.
