As a Mechanical Designer, you will leverage your skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other design tools to create precision layouts and detailed manufacturing drawings. Key Responsibilities
Develop complex engineering layouts for parts and assemblies using engineering specifications, schematics, and BOMs.
Modify and update released drawings and BOMs through the Engineering Change Notice process.
Apply sound judgment in dimensioning, tolerances, material selection, finishes, and cost considerations.
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings for fabrication and assembly.
Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure design success.
Mentor and assist junior drafters in best practices.
Provide production support to resolve manufacturing challenges.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 3–5 years in mechanical design, specifically with metal enclosures for electrical/electronic components (architectural design experience does not apply).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks; familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe PDF.
Strong understanding of engineering drawing practices, military and industry standards.
Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently.
Education: Associate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to climb stairs, sit for extended periods, and communicate fluently in English.
Eligibility: Documented U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status required.
