Position Summary:
This contractor role provides project and operational support to the Material Planning and Material Management teams during the implementation of an IT solution within the Supply Chain organization. The contractor will assist in ensuring aircraft parts availability, repair order tracking, and accurate inventory data to help minimize aircraft ground time and improve overall supply performance. This support position will enable the business to maintain service levels, meet regulatory requirements, and optimize inventory during a period of process and system transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in monitoring part sparing levels, usage trends, and allocation across the network by collecting and analyzing operational data
• Create and track repair and exchange orders to support aircraft maintenance requirements
• Help follow up with vendors to ensure timely repair turnaround and resolve delivery or quality issues
• Track and communicate the status of critical or urgent material orders to stakeholders
• Support demand forecasting efforts and buy vs. repair evaluations through data gathering and analysis
• Maintain and update part number records, inventory tracking data, and system records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist in preparing draft Inventory Disservice Reports and related performance summaries
• Contribute to the maintenance of planning tools and forecasting dashboards used for material analysis
• Facilitate inventory count activities and adjustments as needed
• Support analysis of surplus, obsolete, or underperforming inventory in collaboration with planners
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect technical and logistical information for issue resolution or planning inputs
• Compile reports, statistics, and presentation materials for internal use
• Provide administrative and analytical support for assigned supply chain projects or system implementations
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency using statistical analysis tools.
• Demonstrated spares forecasting ability
• Strong capabilities to work with database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with people in a team oriented environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Inventory Control, Supply Chain Management, or related field(s) or equivalent experience
• Related experience of 3-5 years
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in production planning or materials planning
• Prior airline experience
• Supply Chain Certifications (CPIM/ CSCP, others)
• Experience with Aircraft technical documents (CMMs, Aircraft Task Cards, IPCs)
