Overview:
We are partnering with a growing manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Materials & Inventory Coordinator to support daily production operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, team-oriented environment and has direct experience managing inventory, coordinating materials, and working closely with suppliers to ensure production runs smoothly.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining appropriate raw material levels, supporting logistics, and proactively addressing supply needs. While financial accounting is part of the role, the primary focus is on operational support and inventory management within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials to support ongoing production
Monitor material usage and proactively identify replenishment needs
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Support purchasing activities, including placing orders and tracking shipments
Work closely with internal teams to align material availability with production schedules
Maintain and update inventory records, including manual tracking and spreadsheet-based systems as needed
Assist with resolving discrepancies related to inventory, shipments, or materials
Support basic accounting functions such as inventory reconciliation, costing, and reporting
Identify opportunities to improve processes related to inventory flow and material management

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required)

Hands-on experience with inventory control, materials management, or production support

Experience working in environments with limited or manual systems (Excel-based tracking, etc.)

Strong understanding of how materials impact production timelines and output

Experience coordinating with vendors or managing supplier relationships

Basic accounting knowledge or exposure (inventory, costing, or related functions)

Highly organized, proactive, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For:

Someone who takes ownership of inventory and materials—not just reports on it
A proactive problem-solver who can anticipate production needs before issues arise
Comfortable working in a smaller company environment where processes may not be fully automated
A team player who can wear multiple hats and adapt as business needs evolve

Why This Opportunity:

High-impact role with direct visibility into operations and production success
Opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within the business
Collaborative, close-knit team environment
Stable and growing manufacturing company
