We are seeking an experienced Material Handler / Forklift Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Pittsburg, CA, within a fast-paced chemical manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented warehouse professional with SAP inventory transaction experience, sit-down forklift skills, and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, retrieve, stage, and distribute raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules.
- Pull correct materials, batch numbers, and quantities for scheduled process orders.
- Process SAP inventory transactions to verify quantities, locations, and material movement accuracy.
- Operate a sit-down forklift and other warehouse equipment safely while loading, unloading, and staging materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, reports, and documentation while communicating shortages to warehouse and planning teams.
- Follow all warehouse safety, quality, hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.

- Process inventory transactions in SAP and maintain accurate records of material quantities and locations.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, retrieve, and stage materials safely.
- Follow safety, quality, warehouse, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of warehouse, material handling, or related production operations experience required.
- SAP inventory or warehouse transaction experience required.
- Sit-down forklift operation experience required, with ability to pass forklift certification within 30 days.
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, RF scanners, shipping and receiving, data entry, and process orders.
- Strong computer literacy and accurate data entry skills.
- Basic to intermediate math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 65 lbs and handle materials up to 650 lbs with appropriate equipment.
- Comfortable working around warehouse racks and in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and required industrial assessment.
- Strong English reading, writing, speaking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or regulated manufacturing warehouse environment.
- Experience handling or supporting storage of hazardous materials in compliance with safety procedures.
- Prior experience training other employees on routine warehouse or material handling tasks.
