We are seeking a dependable Material Handler for a temporary opportunity in Fayetteville, NC. This role supports production, warehouse, packaging, recycling, and shipping operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Material Handler is an important part of daily production success, helping keep materials moving safely, equipment prepared, records accurate, and the work area organized. Key Responsibilities
- Package, handle, label, and prepare products according to production and quality requirements.
- Support recycling, scrap handling, offline table operations, and troubleshooting for packaging or warehouse equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, managing supplies, cycle counting, and inventory support.
- Operate forklifts, yard tractors, and other mobile equipment as needed.
- Maintain production records, shift logs, turnover documentation, housekeeping, and safety standards.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance, safety checks, lockout/tagout activities, and support audits or emergency response needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $19 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Fayetteville, NC.
- Shift: Dupont rotating shift.
- Schedule: 4 days from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 3 days off, 4 nights from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, 3 days off.
- Support production operations through safe material handling, packaging, labeling, and product movement.
- Assist with warehouse operations including loading, unloading, supply management, inventory, and equipment support.
- Maintain accurate production documentation, shift turnover notes, safety checks, and housekeeping standards.
- Help prepare equipment, perform minor maintenance, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work a rotating day and night Dupont shift schedule.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely in a production or warehouse environment.
- 1 to 2 years of related manufacturing, warehouse, production, or material handling experience preferred.
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, organization, and teamwork.
- Ability to follow work instructions, maintain records, and communicate clearly during shift turnover.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift or mobile equipment operating experience.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, packaging, inventory, cycle counting, or warehouse support.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout, preventive maintenance, production documentation, or safety audits.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial operations environment.
