Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler for a temporary contract opportunity in Fenton, MO. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse, manufacturing, production, or inventory handling experience who enjoys staying active, working with a team, and supporting daily production operations.

As a Material Handler, you will help keep materials moving efficiently by receiving inventory, organizing stock, pulling production materials, maintaining accurate records, and preparing finished products for shipment. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, hands-on work, and the opportunity to contribute to a well-organized production environment with clear expectations and supportive supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, identify, label, store, and organize inventory in designated warehouse and production areas.
- Pull, verify, and deliver materials needed for production orders and workstations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by recording material movements and transactions.
- Process returned materials, restock inventory, and support ongoing inventory accuracy.
- Prepare finished products for shipment, including packing, crating, loading, securing, and completing shipping documentation.
- Perform daily pre-use forklift inspections and support basic equipment maintenance as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $17 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Fenton, MO.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Receive, store, organize, and track inventory for warehouse and production operations.
- Pull and deliver materials for production orders while maintaining accurate in-process inventory.
- Prepare finished goods for shipping, including packing, loading, securing, and documentation.
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and complete daily equipment inspections.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Sit-down forklift experience required.
- 1 to 2 years of related warehouse, manufacturing, production, material handling, or inventory experience preferred for success in the role.
- Ability to read labels, verify materials, and maintain accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in a hands-on production or warehouse environment and support team-based operations.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of warehouse, manufacturing, or light assembly experience.
- Experience pulling production orders, processing returned materials, and preparing shipments.
- Familiarity with inventory transactions, shipping documentation, and basic warehouse organization practices.
