Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Material Handler for a temporary contract opportunity in Fayetteville, NC. This role supports production, warehouse, packaging, recycling, and shipping operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Material Handler will help keep materials moving safely and efficiently while supporting production teams with equipment preparation, inventory activity, product handling, and general warehouse organization. This is a strong opportunity for candidates with 1 to 2 years of production, warehouse, or material handling experience who enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and a structured rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Package, handle, label, and prepare products for production and warehouse operations, including interleaving and offline table activities.
- Recycle or scrap non-standard products and assist with troubleshooting packaging and warehouse equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift logs, turnover notes, and required operational documentation.
- Support loading and unloading trucks, supply management, cycle counting, inventory activity, shipping, and receiving.
- Operate forklifts, yard tractors, and other mobile equipment as needed to move materials safely.
- Perform housekeeping, safety checks, minor preventive maintenance, lockout/tagout support, and environmental compliance tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $19 per hour.
- Job Type: Temporary contract.
- Schedule: Dupont rotating shift.
- Shift Pattern: 4 days from 8AM to 8PM, 3 days off, 4 nights from 8PM to 8AM, 3 days off.
- Location: Fayetteville, NC.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support production operations through packaging, labeling, material handling, and equipment preparation.
- Assist warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory, supplies, and loading or unloading trucks.
- Maintain safe work practices, accurate records, and organized production and warehouse areas.
- Operate mobile equipment and support preventive maintenance and safety procedures.

- 1 to 2 years of relevant warehouse, production, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts on a Dupont schedule.
- Ability to safely lift, move, carry, and handle materials throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, accuracy, and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to follow work instructions, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively during shift turnover.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work well in a team-oriented production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Forklift experience or experience operating warehouse, yard, or mobile equipment.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, cycle counting, inventory support, or supply coordination.
- Familiarity with basic preventive maintenance, lockout/tagout procedures, and production safety practices.
