Material Handler
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina 28302
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Dupont rotating shift. 4 days from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 3 days off, 4 nights from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, 3 days off
Employment Type: 6 month temporary assignment
Summary
The Material Handler / Production Assistant supports production, packaging, warehouse, and material handling operations in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role helps maintain safe work areas, handle product movement, complete required documentation, and support equipment readiness across multiple operational areas. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety focused, and comfortable working independently on a rotating day and night schedule.
Key Responsibilities
• Package, handle, recycle, and move product safely and efficiently while supporting packaging, warehouse, offline table, and related production functions
• Complete shift logs, turnover logs, audits, and required documentation while following safety, environmental, and record keeping procedures
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, managing supplies, moving trailers, cycle counting inventory, and supporting shipping and warehouse needs
• Perform housekeeping, basic troubleshooting, and routine mechanical support including minor preventive maintenance, lockout preparation, and equipment readiness tasks
Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license required
• Experience working in production, warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing environments with the ability to support rotating day and night shifts
• Ability to operate or learn mobile equipment such as forklifts, work savers, and yard tractors while handling materials and supplies safely
• Strong attention to safety, independent judgment, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accurate records in a high performance work environment
