Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support a new product launch within a regulated manufacturing environment. This 2nd-shift role focuses on hands-on production support, equipment troubleshooting, process improvements, and assisting assembly teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.
This position is ideal for a technically inclined professional who enjoys problem-solving, coaching others, and working in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production Support
Serve as front-line technical support for 2nd-shift manufacturing operations
Assist assemblers by coaching on processes, best practices, and troubleshooting
Support new product introductions, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives
Perform setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing of parts, components, and assemblies
Instruct production personnel on manufacturing and testing procedures
Support maintenance efforts to ensure continuous equipment operation
Process Improvement & Data Analysis
Troubleshoot equipment and investigate manufacturing process issues
Analyze test data and product performance to improve yield and quality
Conduct scrap analysis and support root-cause investigations
Recommend and implement improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Partner with engineering teams to conduct experiments and process validations
Document and communicate findings across shifts and functional teams
Equipment, Quality & Compliance
Perform corrective, preventive, and calibration maintenance on equipment
Install and validate equipment, tooling, and fixtures per validation protocols
Support quality systems, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
Participate in material review decisions and corrective action initiatives
Certify and train manufacturing associates on production processes
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of related manufacturing experience (or equivalent combination)
Experience working independently and within team-based environments
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff
Strong coaching and training skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Reliable attendance and schedule adherence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device experience a plus)
Associate degree or some college coursework
