Position Objective
This position supports the day-to-day operations of the plant and warehouse with a strong focus on seed treatment, seed counting, and packaging operations. The role involves operating manual and automated equipment while ensuring accuracy in seed counts, bag weights, inventory, appearance, and treatment application.

Education
• High School Diploma or GED required

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
o Manufacturing
o Seed production
o Ginning
o Seed conditioning
o Relevant farm or mechanical experience (highly preferred)
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, including:
o Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
o Confined Space Entry (CSE)
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment repair skills
• Maintenance experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift and handle 50 lb bags as required

Primary Responsibilities
• Participate in daily seed treating, counting, and bagging operations
• Operate manual and automated seed count and packaging equipment
• Operate and monitor automatic seed sampling equipment
• Assist with QA sampling and seed count accuracy
• Enter and maintain plant monitoring and tracking data
• Monitor packaging quality including:
o Bag printing
o Placards
o Barcoding
o Wrapping
• Monitor treatment processes to ensure application accuracy
• Perform basic repairs on:
o Bag placers
o Baggers
o Treaters
o Palletizers
• Assist with cleanup during variety changes
• Support inventory counts for:
o Seed
o Bags
o Chemicals
• Assist with carryover sorting, blending, and inventory during off-season
• Follow all plant safety requirements and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Decision-Making Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and correct issues with baggers, placers, and scales
• Identify and correct seed count inaccuracies
• Resolve bag printing or labeling quality issues
• Identify and correct equipment calibration issues
• Escalate unresolved issues to management as needed

Physical & Work Environment
• Manufacturing/plant environment
• Standing, walking, bending, lifting required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Overtime or extended hours may be required based on production needs
