Medical Device Manufacturing Technician - Operator II

Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Second Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Overtime Paid at Time and a Half

A medical device manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join a fast-paced production environment producing high-quality cardiovascular devices. This hands-on role involves detailed assembly, equipment operation, inspection, testing, and packaging to ensure every product meets strict quality standards. Depending on the work area, responsibilities may include working in a controlled cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble medical devices and components following standardized procedures.

Operate production equipment and hand tools, including microscopes, soldering tools, and adhesive bonding equipment.

Perform visual inspections, precision measurements, and computerized testing on components and assemblies.

Repair and correct devices/components as needed to meet quality standards.

Package devices accurately, maintaining complete documentation for traceability.

Maintain clean and organized tools, equipment, and workspaces, including proper hazardous waste disposal.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.

Report supply needs and production issues to supervisors or leads promptly.

Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a technical production environment.

Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures at a 6th-grade level.

Basic math skills at a 6th-grade level.

Strong manual dexterity for handling small components and precision tools.

Ability to prioritize work, sequence tasks, and make sound judgments with minimal supervision.

Effective verbal communication skills in English.

Familiarity with electronic data collection systems and basic software applications.

Work Environment

Second shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM.

Non-exempt position with overtime eligibility.

Heavy industrial manufacturing environment, with potential work in cleanroom settings.
