Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager - Food for a full-time, on-site leadership opportunity in Riverside, CA. This direct hire role is ideal for a results-driven food manufacturing leader who can oversee daily plant operations, lead production teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

The Manufacturing Manager will work closely with cross-functional partners to improve productivity, reduce downtime, support employee development, and maintain strong food safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food production operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Lead, train, coach, and develop production teams while promoting a safe, positive, and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, OSHA, FSMA, food safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Manage production schedules, staffing levels, inventory flow, and coordination with procurement, distribution, and other internal teams.
- Analyze production data, track KPIs, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement Lean Manufacturing and cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and support reliable plant operations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 to $125,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead daily plant operations for food processing and production.
- Manage production schedules, staffing, quality standards, and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and cost efficiency projects.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, regulatory, and workplace safety requirements.
- 10+ years of experience in food processing, food manufacturing, or a closely related manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSMA, OSHA, food safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, process improvement, and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to lead large production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze production data, interpret KPIs, and prepare operational reports for leadership.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, production technology, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Six Sigma certification or formal Lean Manufacturing training preferred.
- Prior leadership experience in high-volume food and beverage production preferred.
- Experience developing plant policies, managing budgets, and presenting performance updates to senior leadership preferred.
