We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Excellence Manager to lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives for a manufacturing facility in Cayey, PR. This direct hire leadership opportunity is ideal for a hands-on MANEX, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement professional who can drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost, waste reduction, and equipment efficiency.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, the Manufacturing Excellence Manager will partner closely with Operations, Production, Quality, Maintenance, P&C, Supply Chain, and site leadership to build a strong culture of continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to influence site-wide strategy, coach teams at all levels, support digital transformation, and help create a more efficient, engaged, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead implementation of the Manufacturing Excellence strategy, site MANEX Master Plan, and continuous improvement roadmap across production areas.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC projects, problem-solving workshops, and loss reduction initiatives.
- Develop, monitor, and improve key performance indicators related to productivity, quality, waste, cost, OEE, and operational performance.
- Coach and train employees and leadership teams on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, WCM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance, eliminate waste, optimize costs, and increase operational flexibility.
- Support Manufacturing Management Systems, digital transformation initiatives, Daily Operational Reviews, and site-wide change management efforts.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Lead site-wide MANEX implementation and continuous improvement projects.
- Manage Kaizen, RCA, DMAIC, KPI, OEE, waste reduction, and process optimization initiatives.
- Coach production, operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams on Lean tools and manufacturing excellence practices.
- Support data-driven manufacturing performance improvements using systems such as MES, ERP, Power BI, and related platforms.

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, WCM, Kaizen, DMAIC, RCA, KPI development, OEE, waste reduction, and process optimization.
- Experience using data to improve operational performance, productivity, quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Proficiency with manufacturing and data systems such as MES, ERP, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and Outlook 365.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, coaching, influencing, and change management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of an organization.
- Ability to prepare, understand, and communicate technical and operational information.
- Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish.
- Good understanding of English, including the ability to understand written instructions and documents and communicate information effectively.
- Must be comfortable leading change, influencing teams, and supporting site-wide alignment with manufacturing excellence standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Manufacturing experience in an FDA-regulated environment, tobacco, food, FMCG, or a similar regulated or high-volume manufacturing industry.
- Experience implementing Manufacturing Management Systems across departments.
- Experience supporting digital transformation and data-driven decision-making in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience benchmarking external manufacturing standards and incorporating best practices into site operations.
