Job Summary
A direct hire opportunity is available for a Manufacturing Engineer/Project Manager in Newbury Park, CA. This role is ideal for an organized, customer-focused engineering professional who enjoys managing multiple manufacturing projects, interpreting technical drawings, and keeping customers informed from kickoff through shipment.

The Manufacturing Engineer/Project Manager will serve as a key link between customers and internal manufacturing teams, helping ensure projects stay on track in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer projects from initial communication through completion, shipment, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for approximately 40 to 50 customer projects at various stages.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding project status, timelines, requirements, and updates.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical documentation, and customer project specifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support manufacturing priorities, project flow, completion timelines, and shipment goals.
- Build strong customer relationships while managing projects of varying size, complexity, urgency, and communication needs.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Top end of the range is reserved for highly qualified candidates with strong matching experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage customer manufacturing projects from start to finish.
- Oversee project communication, timelines, priorities, and customer expectations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical project documentation.
- Coordinate internally to help move projects through manufacturing and shipment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, or project management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage a high volume of active customer projects.
- Proactive, self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage both high-maintenance and low-maintenance customers with professionalism and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing engineering experience in a production, machinery, equipment, or custom manufacturing environment.
- Prior project management experience supporting customer-driven manufacturing projects.
- Strong ability to balance technical requirements with customer service and business priorities.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects with changing timelines and priorities.
