Manufacturing Engineer
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $70,000 – $78,000 annually
Overview
We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making a real impact on production operations. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, production, and leadership teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes that drive efficiency, maintain high-quality standards, and support overall production goals.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both the technical and hands-on side of manufacturing. The role is primarily office-based but includes regular interaction with the production floor, allowing you to see your improvements come to life in real time.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement new manufacturing processes while improving existing workflows to increase efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness
Conduct time studies, process evaluations, and system analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Troubleshoot production challenges and equipment issues alongside maintenance and production teams
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address defects or inefficiencies
Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure processes meet quality, safety, and operational standards
Optimize workflow and production layouts to reduce bottlenecks and improve productivity
Assist with selecting, designing, and implementing machinery, tools, and equipment used in production processes
Support the installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades when needed
Partner with quality teams to support inspection processes and maintain product quality standards
Prepare reports and updates on production performance, process improvements, and project progress
Qualifications
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, assembly, or welding
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while reviewing processes or troubleshooting equipment
Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds when needed
Exposure to industrial machinery and electrical systems within a manufacturing environment
Work may take place in both office settings and on the production floor
Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities or vendor locations may be required
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (Open to new graduates)
1–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment
1–2 years of experience using SolidWorks
