Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Fremont, CA 94538
Pay: $29–$30/hr
A well-established and growing manufacturing company in Fremont is seeking a Process/Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about engineering in a fast-paced, high-tech environment focused on printed circuit board assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with customers and program managers to develop solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across factory processes.
Assist with job costing and process documentation.
Design fixtures and tooling for encapsulation and conformal coating applications.
Create programs and instructions for operating and maintaining computer-controlled dispensing and coating equipment.
Train operators on equipment including vacuum systems, ESD monitors, UV curing systems, plasma chambers, and more.
Troubleshoot and calibrate equipment as needed.
Qualifications
AA degree in a technical field plus 2 years of experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree).
BS in Mechanical Engineering, related engineering field, or Chemistry preferred.
Experience with PCB conformal coating and encapsulation standards (IPC, MIL, NASA, UL, ATEX, ESD).
Hands-on experience with robotic dispensing/coating systems (Nordson, PVA, Asymtek, Techon, etc.).
Knowledge of materials such as epoxies, urethanes, silicones, and acrylics.
Skilled in fixture/mold design and interpreting technical drawings/specs.
Comfortable working with Metric, British, and US unit systems.
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 standards.
