Job Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Assembler for a temp-to-hire opportunity in State College, PA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented production professional with 1 to 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience who enjoys hands-on work, precision assembly, and contributing to high-quality products in a structured manufacturing environment.
As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will perform routine assembly tasks involving miniature components, hand soldering, bonding, cable assembly, limited product testing, and work under a microscope. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble product components, sensors, cable assemblies, and medical device-related components according to approved procedures, drawings, diagrams, work orders, and verbal instructions.
- Perform hand soldering, bonding processes, attaching and closing processes, fixture preparation, and limited testing of completed products.
- Work under a microscope and handle miniature components with precision while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Complete required production documentation, including work orders, Device History Records, data sheets, lot control records, and labor entries in the MRP system.
- Follow all health, safety, housekeeping, 5S, quality system, manufacturing, and Lean continuous improvement procedures.
- Maintain equipment, tools, fixtures, and work areas while communicating material shortages or production issues to the appropriate lead or supervisor.

- Pay range: $22.00 to $23.50 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform precision hands-on assembly of sensors, probes, transducers, cable assemblies, or medical device components.
- Complete hand soldering, bonding, microscope work, and component preparation according to documented procedures.
- Follow manufacturing work orders, production schedules, quality standards, and MRP documentation requirements.
- Support Lean, 5S, safety, and continuous improvement activities within the production area.
- 1 to 2 years of manufacturing, production, equipment operation, or assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, work orders, procedures, and written manufacturing instructions.
- Ability to work under a microscope and sit for extended periods while performing detailed assembly tasks.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to accurately complete electronic or written production records.
- Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and ability to follow detailed instructions under close supervision.
- Ability to learn and follow quality systems, manufacturing policies, job standards, and safety procedures.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime or varying shifts as production needs require.
- Ability to work respectfully with team members and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with hand soldering, microscope assembly, miniature component assembly, or clean room production.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or TPS activities.
- Experience with MRP systems, work order tracking, Device History Records, lot control, or regulated manufacturing documentation.
- Basic understanding of Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, or BondMaster inspection methods and their use in sensor assembly.
