We are seeking an experienced Management Analyst to support a large public-sector organization with capital improvement programs (CIP) and engineering-related budgetary analysis. This role requires someone who can step in quickly and contribute with minimal training, supporting an active team during a high-demand period. This is an on-site role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst with a strong public agency background who is comfortable working alongside engineering and finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide analytical support for Capital Improvement Projects (CIP)
Assist with budget development, monitoring, and reporting
Support engineering project analysis, tracking costs, schedules, and funding sources
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for management and leadership
Collaborate closely with engineering, finance, and project management teams
Assist with ad hoc financial and operational analysis as needed
Required Qualifications (Highly Preferred)
Recent experience supporting CIP or capital programs
Background in budgetary analysis and financial reporting
Experience working with or supporting engineering or public works projects
Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Prior experience in a public-sector or municipal environment strongly preferred
Additional Experience Considered
Management Analyst I/II experience
Project controls, program analysis, or financial analyst roles
Public agency experience outside of Public Works with transferable budget/project exposure
Work Environment
Fast-paced, deadline-driven
Limited onboarding support due to workload demands
