Overview This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing packaging equipment and machinery, with a strong focus on electrical systems. The technician ensures all equipment is running safely and efficiently to support daily operations in strawberry packaging and related areas. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on case erectors and other packaging equipment. Troubleshoot and adjust electrical and mechanical systems to optimize performance. Sterilize and prepare materials and components for production use. Track and manage inventory of parts and supplies; order replacements as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Support other departments by ensuring equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use. Assist with water system checks and sterilizer testing to ensure proper function. Keep work areas clean and organized, especially around machinery and autoclaves. Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment. Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. Ability to read and follow written instructions and maintenance logs. Basic math skills for measurements and inventory tracking. Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
