We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Irving, TX. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and keeping facility systems operating safely and efficiently.
The Maintenance Technician will support day-to-day building maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or operations environment. Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to help maximize equipment reliability and facility uptime.
- Troubleshoot facility, mechanical, and electrical issues and complete corrective repairs under supervision.
- Support janitorial and facility upkeep tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and related duties.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, preventive maintenance, repairs, work-in-progress, and make-ready status.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $24.45 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Location: Irving, TX.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and building components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.
- Complete work orders, repair documentation, and maintenance records accurately.
- Support safe, clean, and reliable facility operations through hands-on repair and upkeep.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of maintenance, facilities, or related technical experience required.
- Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall repair.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and repair skills.
- Ability to follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work under supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable coordinating with external contractors or service providers when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or regulated facility environment.
- 3-5 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
- Familiarity with facility maintenance programs, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance documentation.
- Previous experience supporting building systems, machinery, or equipment maintenance projects.
