Job Summary
We are hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing facility in Mentor, OH. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, pumps, conveyors, and automated equipment.
This is a long-term opportunity with a stable and expanding operation that values teamwork, safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on manufacturing equipment.
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and equipment adjustments to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Support equipment changeovers, calibrations, installations, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using CMMS systems.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams on root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout standards and required documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $27.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- 2 openings available.
- Shift option 1: Tuesday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Shift option 2: Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
- Weekend shifts are required and may be adjusted to weekdays.
- Candidates must be flexible for schedule changes and weekend coverage.
- Company provides tools and PPE needed for the role.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Troubleshoot industrial manufacturing equipment with both mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment repairs to support production uptime.
- Use CMMS systems to document work orders, maintenance activity, and equipment history.
- Support continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability initiatives.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, pumps, conveyors, robotic systems, or automated equipment.
- Experience using CMMS systems and performing preventative maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must be flexible with schedule changes and weekend work.
- Stable work history required.
- Must be able to explain reasons for leaving prior roles, employment gaps, and whether previous roles were contract or permanent.
- Background check and drug screen required.
- Brillium Light Industrial Test required after interview request only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school, trade school, or maintenance-related certification preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, food and beverage, or chemical production environments preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred for senior-level consideration.
- Strong hands-on exposure to PLCs and VFDs preferred.
- Experience supporting robotic or automated production systems preferred.
