Maintenance Technician needed for a commercial building in Tampa!

Tampa, FL 33607

$26.50–$30.00 per hour

Full-time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with rotating on-call shifts (nights, weekends, and holidays).

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Class A office buildings (300K – 1M SF).
• Complete service requests via our online system using a mobile device.
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems, tenant spaces, and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Support HVAC maintenance, including filter changes, belt replacements, and logging chillers.
• Monitor chemical treatment programs for cooling towers and fountains.
• Perform minor repairs (roof, windows, flooring, ceiling tiles, signage, blinds, etc.).
• Assist contractors with fire/life safety systems, shutdowns, and testing.
• Provide outstanding customer service to tenants and foster strong working relationships.
• Participate in hurricane preparedness and emergency response.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3–5 years of commercial maintenance (office, retail, industrial, or hospital). Candidates with luxury high-rise residential experience may be considered.
• General maintenance across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, life safety). Tech-savvy with basic MS Office and mobile applications.
• Strong customer service, professional communication, and a team-first attitude.
• Ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Must pass background check (criminal, DMV, credit) and 10-panel drug test.
