Maintenance Supervisor – Food Manufacturing
Full-Time | On Site | Leadership Role | Location: Hanford, CA | Pay $80K - $95K

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across multiple food manufacturing plants. This role ensures equipment reliability, reduces downtime, drives preventive maintenance, and leads a team of maintenance technicians, planners, and parts personnel. The ideal candidate has strong hands on maintenance leadership experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proven track record in GMP, OSHA, FSMA, USDA, and FSSC 22000 environments.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Leadership & Equipment Reliability
• Ensure maximum equipment uptime and minimize unplanned production downtime.
• Supervise maintenance technicians, PM planners, and parts room staff across assigned shifts.
• Assign work orders, provide clear direction, and manage daily maintenance priorities.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts during emergency breakdowns to quickly restore operations.
Preventive Maintenance & CMMS Management
• Develop, execute, and improve Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs using COGZ CMMS.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual PM tasks are completed on time.
• Track and report maintenance KPIs to leadership (PM compliance, work orders, mechanic productivity).
• Maintain accurate CMMS records, SOPs, inventory usage, and equipment history logs.
Continuous Improvement & 5S
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Implement and maintain 5S organizational standards within the maintenance department.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, fabrications, and major repair projects.
• Coordinate plant layout changes and planned shutdown activities.
Safety, Compliance & Food Safety
• Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, GMP, USDA, PMO, FSMA, and FSSC 22000 regulations.
• Lead safety training and ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
• Report, document, and investigate accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe maintenance environment.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Production, QA, and other departments to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Support audits, inspections, and facility regulatory reviews.
• Communicate maintenance updates, delays, and equipment status to leadership teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities
• Recruit, train, develop, and mentor maintenance staff.
• Assign work, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching.
• Conduct evaluations and administer corrective actions when required.
• Motivate teams and support a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
• Associate’s/Technical Degree OR
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast paced industrial environment.
