AppleOne is sourcing an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a 3-month contract supporting a high-volume food manufacturing and packaging facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent safety leadership, and experience optimizing equipment reliability in a production environment.

About the Role

In this contract position, you’ll supervise maintenance technicians, support production needs, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and drive equipment uptime through preventive maintenance and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities

Lead daily maintenance activities under the direction of the Maintenance Manager
Promote and enforce OSHA safety and GMP standards throughout the facility
Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and ensure safe work practices
Perform and oversee mechanical, electrical, pipefitting, and rigging tasks
Train technicians on safety procedures, equipment operation, and maintenance best practices
Execute and manage preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to reduce downtime
Prioritize and assign shift maintenance work for maximum efficiency
Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead root cause analysis
Maintain production systems, utilities, building facilities, and grounds
Review drawings, diagrams, prints, and specifications to plan repairs
Document work orders, repairs, PM tasks, and materials used in the CMMS
Identify cost-saving opportunities and continuous improvement actions
Support hiring, development, coaching, and performance management of maintenance staff
Build strong communication and morale within the maintenance team
Collaborate with management to improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and OEE
Perform other duties as assigned
Ability to work any shift, weekends, or holidays as needed


Qualifications

High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, etc.)
5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in food processing, food packaging, or manufacturing
Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills with electro-mechanical systems
Proficient with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
Ability to evaluate maintenance performance and drive operational improvements
