The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring effective maintenance management by planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. This role supports operational efficiency through proper asset management, system accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain and update the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ensuring accuracy of asset data and inventory
-Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs in collaboration with Engineering
-Support equipment criticality analysis and spare parts (BOM) definition
-Create, schedule, assign, and close maintenance work orders with proper documentation
-Ensure all maintenance requests are processed through the system
-Coordinate corrective maintenance activities and projects with Engineering and operations teams
-Manage procurement of materials required for maintenance execution
-Ensure compliance with EHS and QA/QC regulations
-Lead maintenance planning meetings and manage work order backlog
-Monitor and report maintenance KPIs (PM compliance, work order execution, materials management)
-Maintain technical history and documentation of assets
-Support training on maintenance systems and processes
-Coordinate project closure and capitalization activities
-Manage maintenance-related tasks assigned to Production and QA/QC teams
-Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements:
-Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
3–5 years of experience in maintenance planning or management
-Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and systems (preferably in the food manufacturing industry)
-Experience with CMMS systems
-Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (drawings, manuals, reports)
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
-Availability to work shifts or irregular schedules as needed
-Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
