Maintenance Mechanic
-Location: Chatsworth, CA
-Pay: $25-35/hr DOE
-We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in liquid filling and packaging equipment to support production operations and ensure maximum uptime. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery and possess hands-on knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated technician who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys solving challenging equipment issues.
-Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a liquid filling, packaging, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of:
o Mechanical systems
o Pneumatic systems
o Hydraulic systems
o Automation systems
o Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and rebuild complex production equipment.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Strong understanding of GMP and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork skills.
• Good mathematical, reading, and visualization skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild production equipment, including:
o Unscramblers
o Pacific Rotary Fillers and Inline Fillers
o Norden Tube Fillers
o Resina Cappers and Crimpers
o Labeling Machines
o Inkjet Coders
o Conveyors and Pumps
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Respond to production trouble calls and provide immediate support to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Complete line changeovers and machine setups according to production schedules.
• Build transfer lines, connect pumps, and perform washout and sanitization procedures following SOPs and GMP requirements.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, P&ID diagrams, and work orders to diagnose and repair machinery.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and assist with ordering replacement components.
• Partner with Engineering and Production teams to support line trials and continuous process improvements.
• Perform minor fabrication projects using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), GMP, and company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
