A well-established food and beverage manufacturing company in the Central Valley is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join its operations team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining plant uptime by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment specific to food and beverage processing
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and prevent equipment damage
Repair and maintain pumps, filters, conveyors, vacuums, and plumbing systems
Perform basic to above-average electrical work, including adjusting VFDs and repairing motor starters
Cut, thread, and install various piping systems
Complete daily work orders, repair documentation, and written maintenance tasks
Follow all company safety and food safety policies at all times
Support maintenance leadership with additional duties as assigned
Preferred Technical Knowledge
Industrial plant operations and processing equipment such as evaporators, chillers, pasteurizers, and basic filling machinery
Motor controls and electrical systems ranging from 480VAC to 24VAC/DC
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a production environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college coursework in maintenance or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with team members in a professional, non-confrontational manner
English reading and writing required; bilingual skills a plus
