The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment used in a winery and juice-processing environment. This role supports production by ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Food Safety standards. Work includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and preventative maintenance tasks across a variety of industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions

Troubleshoot various winery and industrial production machines.
Independently repair pumps, fillers, conveyors, vacuum systems, compressors, and related equipment.
Maintain, rebuild, and adjust equipment as needed.
Perform electrical work including adjusting VFDs and repairing motors.
Complete daily work tasks and repairs as assigned by Maintenance Supervision.
Follow all company policies and adhere to Food Safety and workplace safety standards.


Additional Job Functions

Perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Work with industrial plant equipment such as juice evaporators, chillers, pasteurizers, and juice-filling machinery.
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Diagnose electrical issues on AC and DC circuits ranging from 480V to 24V.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
Respond to emergency breakdowns, including extended hours during the harvest season (typically February through December).


Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school education preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting tasks.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills preferred.
Ability to work assigned shifts (3 shifts, 7 days/week operation).
Availability to work extended hours and 8–12 hour shifts during peak production/harvest.
Must work safely and follow all SOPs and Food Safety guidelines.


Work Environment

Winery and beverage-processing facility.
Production setting with industrial machinery, bottling lines, pumps, evaporators, chillers, and compressors.
Combination of indoor and outdoor work, depending on equipment.
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with rotating shifts.
