Maintenance Technician (1st shift)
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of all facility equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out with maximum efficiency, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance repairs and troubleshooting on all equipment
Complete scheduled Preventive Maintenance tasks on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Assist production teams with machine changeovers
Maintain organized storage of chemicals and parts in the maintenance area
Ensure the work area is kept clean, safe, and free from debris
Perform cleaning tasks as outlined in the Master Cleaning Schedule
Conduct all work in a safe and efficient manner
Comply with facility Food Safety and Quality standards
Food Safety Duties:
Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed, including proper hygiene and preventing cross-contamination
Help maintain the facility’s pest control program by keeping doors closed and reporting any pest activity
Ensure that work areas are free from debris, tools, and parts to prevent foreign material contamination
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including logs, preventive maintenance records, and chemical registers
Report any food safety or security concerns to supervisors or managers
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment, including:
Complex manufacturing equipment
Mechanical drive systems
Packaging equipment
Basic electrical systems
Welding and fabrication
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
