A food manufacturing company in Fresno, CA is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader who can improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, develop maintenance technicians, and support safe, efficient production operations.
The Maintenance Manager will play a key role in strengthening preventive maintenance programs, leading technical troubleshooting, supporting capital projects, and ensuring compliance with safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians and supervisors while promoting safety, accountability, teamwork, and strong performance.
- Plan, prioritize, schedule, and oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for production equipment, packaging systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, controls, and PLC-related equipment issues to improve uptime and reduce recurring failures.
- Manage equipment installations, upgrades, capital projects, vendor relationships, contractor coordination, maintenance budgets, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, LOTO, GMP, HACCP, SQF, food safety, sanitation, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, downtime reduction, preventive maintenance completion, MTBF, work order backlog, and maintenance cost control.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Location: Fresno, CA.
- Flexibility may be needed for weekends, holidays, and after-hours emergency maintenance response.

- Lead maintenance operations and support technician development in a food manufacturing environment.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, equipment reliability, and production uptime initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and support mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and PLC systems.
- Manage maintenance projects, budgets, spare parts inventory, compliance requirements, and vendor coordination.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC knowledge.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System, or CMMS.
- Ability to manage maintenance budgets, project timelines, equipment installations, and compliance priorities.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in food, beverage, dairy, bakery, consumer packaged goods, or CPG manufacturing.
- Familiarity with SQF, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety or quality systems.
- Experience supporting capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
