Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance & Automation Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Cidra, PR. This role supports a manufacturing environment by executing continuous improvement projects, troubleshooting production line issues, and performing maintenance activities that help keep operations running safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
The Maintenance & Automation Technician is a key part of the maintenance and automation team, working closely with production technicians and operational leaders to support line startups, improve equipment performance, and identify solutions that reduce downtime. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and contributing to a clean, safe, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned continuous improvement projects within maintenance and automation areas.
- Support production technicians during production line startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment operation.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve equipment or process failures during production.
- Complete predictive, corrective, and preventive maintenance according to the established work plan.
- Use designated programs and tools to troubleshoot issues in manufacturing areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following quality, food safety, environmental, health, and safety standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Annual salary: $36,400.
- Location: Cidra, PR.
- Overtime and rotating shifts may be required.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Execute maintenance and automation continuous improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot production line issues and provide technical support during operations.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Participate in operational projects as required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant maintenance, automation, facilities maintenance, or manufacturing equipment experience.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, automation, or production equipment issues.
- Experience supporting production line startups, maintenance activities, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to follow established maintenance plans, procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Willingness to complete required training and certifications for the position.
- Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to immediately report any accident or incident involving product loss, equipment, facilities, or personnel to a supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with food safety, environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Experience using maintenance or troubleshooting software programs in a manufacturing setting.
- Prior involvement in continuous improvement or operational excellence projects.
