This Mailroom Payment Processor/Lockbox Processor Position Features:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Lockbox Associate to join our client's high-security production team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing incoming payments, validating remittance information, and ensuring accurate and timely posting to customer accounts. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow structured procedures, and comfort working in a secure, production-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and verify incoming lockbox payments, including checks, remittance documents, and electronic files.
* Accurately enter and post payment data into internal systems.
* Review batches for accuracy and completeness; identify and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare daily reports and assist with reconciliation and balancing activities.
* Operate scanning and imaging equipment in accordance with security and quality standards.
* Maintain compliance with operational guidelines, audit requirements, and internal controls.
* Communicate with internal teams to resolve payment or document issues.
* Protect sensitive financial and customer information at all times.
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Willingness to work in a high-security, highly structured production environment.
* Ability to complete intensive onboarding and training.
* Experience in lockbox processing, remittance processing, banking, or high-volume * data entry preferred.
* Strong typing and data entry accuracy.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and comfort learning payment processing systems.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with lockbox equipment, imaging/scanning systems, or production operations.
* Prior work in financial services, banking, or accounts receivable.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
